The University of Oxford is developing a vaccine that could stop many strains of the  Malaria parasite. The key to the vaccines success is that it will target the crucial stage of the parasite's development. once a human is bitten by a mosquito carrying Malaria, the parasite travels through the blood to the liver, then affects the red blood cells, then the parasite will multiply and divide. One form will continue to attack the red blood cells while the other form will circulate in the bloodstream. The newly developed vaccine by the University of Oxford interrupts the parasite's entry into the blood. The University of Oxford does have their concerns though because several Malaria vaccine attempts have failed in humans.
